Music No Music was created in response to my 2019 hip replacement surgery. The morning after the surgery, grappling with a new, not entirely improved body (the procedure left one leg longer than the other) I begin creating the gestural series that opens this dance, and from which the rest of the piece was developed, over the days, weeks and months of healing.
